New Life Addiction Counseling
New Life Addiction Counseling Services, Inc. offers a treatment program which emphasizes total abstinence from alcohol and drugs of abuse. The program is designed to motivate clients to develop recovery strategies through education, self awareness and participation in self-help groups (i.e. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Chemically Dependent Anonymous). New Life Addiction Counseling Services, Inc. recognizes alcohol and chemical dependence as family illnesses. To assist families in addressing their needs and concerns, New Life offers family treatment.
New Life Addiction Counseling Services, Inc. initiated outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment services in 1984. Our commitment to patient care has never wavered. Our facility offers a full continuum of addiction treatment services that cater to you. These services were initiated by our founder, Thomas S. Porter.
Tom's professional beginnings started at Hidden Brook in Bel Air. In the early 1980's he was a marketing representative for Hidden Brook's inpatient facility. His compassion for the alcoholic and addict was quickly recognized by the treatment team at Hidden Brook and as a result Tom was encouraged to start an outpatient aftercare program in Dundalk, Maryland. Soon after, Tom and his team opened programs in Anne Arundel, Wicomico and Carroll counties. To date, the philosophies put into practice by Tom and his dedicated team have stood the test of time. Though other programs have since closed, the facility in Pasadena, Anne Arundel County remains and has continued to assist the surrounding communities in getting help for the past 27 years.
